How to Select the Best Lead Rope
Enhancing our Communication Skills
We can enhance our communication skills simply by ensuring that the equipment we use is the most effective equipment for the task and that it can truly be identified as "quality". For this reason I have chosen to use a polyester marine line that is "super-supple", thereby producing a lead rope that not only has a tremendous amount of "life" but also a tremendous amount of "feel". This, of course, translates into superior communication.
Our Connection to the Horse
For maximum results, I use a 12 ft. lead rope that has a leather popper on the tail end.
- I find that a 1/2-inch diameter lead rope works best, especially for a smaller female hand size.
- Also, the brass snap is a durable barrel type that offers durability.
The Leather Popper
The leather popper is a very effective aid that can be used to re-enforce your cues. When needed, it offers you "asking power".
The Brass Snap
The brass snap is a durable barrel type that offers durability.
